Mind, Body, Fertility Workshop
Your Journey to Pregnancy and Beyond
On the 21st May I’m very privileged to be joining with 4 other therapists to run a Mind, Body, Fertility Workshop in Thame, Oxfordshire. This workshop is going to be a fantastic day, outlining the ways nutrition, hypnotherapy, reflexology, aromatherapy, acupuncture and exercise can help to bring our bodies into balance to facilitate conception, either assisted or unassisted.
Obviously (with my ego) I will be starting the day off by talking about nutrition and its vital role in fertility. This will be followed by the following experts in their field:
Sarah Brambleby, Dip Hyp CS, Dip CS, Ad. Dip CP, MHS, MNCS (Acc)
Hypnotherapist & Counsellor. Use the power of your sub conscious mind to help manage your stress and anxieties. Learn how to use self-hypnosis to counteract the long-term effects of high levels of cortisol, which can inhibit the reproductive hormones or sperm production. A brief Introduction to hypnobirthing.
Sarah Bromham, Aromatherapy & Reflexology Holistic Therapist
Sarah uses a holistic natural approach to fertility preparation. To balance and harmonise mind, body and spirit through the energetics of reflexology.
Julie Palmer Lic.Ac. MBAcC B.A. (Hons) Acupuncture
As acupuncture has become widely recognised as effective for both male and female fertility, Julie will explain how it works on its own or in conjunction with orthodox reproductive medicine, such as IVF.
Me! BSc Nutritional Therapy MBANT
Learn about the importance of nutrition for conception, I will focus on the specific nutrients and foods necessary for egg and sperm maturation, hormone production and fetal development. Nutrition has a vital role to play in assisted, and unassisted, conception.
Keri Young, Pre and Postnatal Fitness Specialist
Exercise and movement are widely accepted as positive steps to take when trying to conceive. We will share the latest information on the links between exercise and fertility, learn about the do’s and don’ts in the preconception phase, and then you can take part in a Fitness Pilates session.
This workshop is going to be a fantastic day. I am so looking forward to being part of this warm, welcoming and informative event. Join us on the day and you will be able to:
