When a McDonalds burger can cost the same as one banana it can be true that fast unhealthy food is more expensive than fast healthy food. However if you take the time and resist impulse buying you can still buy healthy and cheap. Own-brand supermarket frozen vegetables, whole-grain rice, porridge, apples, dried pulses are not expensive and can produce great meals. Just takes a bit longer than pouring milk over coco-pops or sticking a 18"pizza in the oven.
