Impaired Glucose Tolerance

If you’ve been warned by your GP that your blood glucose levels are beginning to increase then it might make sense to look at a low carbohydrate diet. This doesn’t mean following a drastic Atkins style diet whereby even vegetables are restricted but simply cutting back on the obvious carbohydrate sources such as cakes, rice, bread and pasta. A study carried out in Japan this year found that following a starch restricted diet enabled a group of pre-diabetic patients, diagnosed with Impaired Glucose Tolerance, to reverse this diagnosis. Consequently removing the threat of developing full blown Diabetes Type II. Please contact me if you would like further information as to how to modify your diet in this way.
